Pokemon GO’s latest Spotlight Hour event puts the beloved Growlithe in the spotlight. Spotlight Hour is a one-hour mini-event that shines a spotlight on a specific Pokemon, offering trainers an increased chance to encounter it.

Growlithe, a Fire-type Pokemon, boasts a maximum CP of 1405 in Pokemon GO. It has a stat distribution favoring Attack (136), followed by Defense (93) and Stamina (146). Additionally, Growlithe receives a weather boost in Sunny weather. This fiery canine can evolve into the powerful Arcanine, known for its balanced stats and versatility in both PvE and PvP battles.

The Growlithe Spotlight Hour is set to kick off on September 26 at 6 PM local time, lasting for an hour until 7 PM. During this event, Growlithe spawns will be more frequent, and participating trainers will enjoy a 2X catch Stardust bonus. There’s even a chance to encounter a Shiny Growlithe, which is highly sought after by collectors.

As a Fire-type Pokemon, Growlithe is susceptible to Ground, Rock, and Water-type moves but resists Bug, Fairy, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Steel-type attacks. Trainers can evolve Growlithe into Arcanine with 50 Pokemon Candy.

Shiny Pokemon are rare finds, but during the Growlithe Spotlight Hour, trainers can increase their chances by encountering as many Growlithe as possible. Shiny Growlithe has a distinctive yellowish hue compared to the standard orange variant.

To boost Growlithe spawns, consider using items like Lure Modules, Incense, and take advantage of weather conditions that match Sunny weather. Combining these strategies can significantly improve the chances of encountering Shiny Growlithe, but remember that Shiny encounters are never guaranteed, so perseverance is key.
