Discover the materials and steps required to create a functional boat in Lego Fortnite for seamless water travel.

Released on December 7, 2023, Lego Fortnite captured players’ imaginations with its expansive possibilities, reminiscent of games like Minecraft. Within this virtual world, players can not only survive but also craft an array of impressive structures. Among these, constructing a boat becomes essential for navigating expansive bodies of water efficiently. Here’s a comprehensive guide on building a boat in Lego Fortnite.
How to Create a Boat in Lego Fortnite:

Constructing a boat in Lego Fortnite requires specific resources that need to be unlocked. Once you have gathered the necessary resources, follow these steps to craft a functional boat:
Required Resources:
- Dynamic Platform: 4 Flex Wood
- Small Thruster: 1 Wooden Rod, 1 Torch, 1 Blast Powder
- Activation Switch: 1 Wood, 1 Blast Powder
Building Steps:
- Place the Dynamic Platform either at the shore or directly onto the water surface.
- Attach a Small Thruster to one side of the Dynamic Platform. Adjust the number or size of Thrusters to alter the boat’s speed, but be cautious as excessive Thrusters might compromise stability.
- Affix the Activation Switch anywhere onto the Dynamic Platform. Optionally, add chests for carrying additional resources.
Boat Operation:
Once constructed, the boat is ready for use. Stand on the boat and activate the lever. However, maneuvering the boat poses a challenge as it cannot be steered conventionally. To navigate or turn the boat:
- To steer, place a heavy block or object on one side of the boat. This action causes the boat to tilt and move in the direction of the weighted side.
- Removing the object restores the boat to a straight course. This technique allows players to steer the boat to their desired direction by adding or removing weight.
While this method of steering may be inconvenient, it provides a workaround until developers integrate the Activation Switch’s connection to individual Thrusters for more precise navigation.
